Brazil is the world's largest sugar producer. Unfortunately, in some regions, the harvest is still manual, with thousands of hard working people, with a very low minimum wage. They wake up early in the morning and stop working at late afternoon, under extreme heat. In this picture I captured one of the sugar cane workers embracing the burned sugar cane, just before cutting it. The picture was taken in December 2014, at 9:20am.
